The 2024 Youth Summit took place on November 23rd from 8 AM to 2 PM at the Eddie Davis Community Center (1312 Maple St, West Des Moines, IA 50265). This one-day conference empowered youth by providing them with invaluable opportunities to explore diverse industries such as financial services, leadership, engineering, arts, technology, entertainment, entrepreneurship among other inspiring subjects.
The summit focused on four key pillars – Career Development, Networking, Mentorship, and Holistic Growth which featured:
- Two Industry-focused Speed Mentorship & Career Prep Corner for resume writing and interview assistance

- Lunch & Panel Discussion

- Delicious lunch was catered by Bah Kunda Kitchen and beverages were provided by Musa’s lemonade and Edara Wellness.

- Entertainment was provided by the Kakaleka Acrobatic African culture dance team
