The festival features fewer than 50 official film selections, carefully curated from more than 500 submissions from around the world by an esteemed panel of internationally recognized filmmakers, industry professionals, and renowned film curators. Over three days, audiences will experience outstanding feature films, documentaries, shorts, and animations, culminating in an Awards Ceremony honoring excellence in categories including Best Picture, Best Documentary, Best Screenplay, Best Director, and more.

On August 8, the Motherland Experience – African Festival transforms the celebration into a vibrant showcase of Africa’s rich heritage through authentic cuisine, live music, dance, fashion, arts, culture, and community, inviting people of all backgrounds to experience the beauty, creativity, and diversity of the African continent and its global Diaspora in one extraordinary festival.
